The US brings democracy & bombs, again
Trump cares about democracy does he?
He says he will be a dictator on day one. There is no 'after that'.
"‘You’re not going to be a dictator, are you?’ I said: ‘No, no, no, other than day one. We’re closing the border, and we’re drilling, drilling, drilling. After that, I’m not a dictator.’” Current president of the US - Donald Trump
He previously attempted to deny the results of a democratic vote, in an attempt to be a dictator, but failed.
"You will have an illegitimate president. That is what you will have, and we can't let that happen." January 6th 2021 - Donald Trump
By 2022, he feels like he could have just suspended the constitution actually to retain power.
Last December, he mused about circumventing the Constitution, arguing that the election fraud he alleges “allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.” AP News
And now, he's so incredibly concerned about removing Maduro from Venezuela, why? Because Maduro is the president of Venezuela, a country with the largest oil reserves in the world. Trump said the US will rule over Venezuela now, and US oil companies will 'drill baby drill' as Trump would say, a campaign promise kept. Strange that the supposed isolationism of the far-right he cultivated doesn't stretch to Venezuela, or Palestine, or Iran, or Iraq, or Syria, or Somalia, or Yemen, or... or... or...
Speaking of Iraq, here's a reminder of how they spun it then in 2003. Though they feared us enough to be forced to lie back then about weapons of mass destruction. They understand now that they don't need to lie, there's nothing we can do about it anyway.

We might not have the power right now to stop what this is, the building of empire, the enrichment of billionaires at the expense of ordinary peoples lives. But we can, and should, make our complaint. No matter what, we make our complaint.
Solidarity with all those who protest, especially those in the US. You are the best placed to continue to get louder, and louder - until they cannot repress you any longer. Solidarity with the hunger strikers. Solidarity with the activists blocking ICE from their communities in the US.
Anti-war movements, it's time to get active, we can't just tack on a broad anti-war movement to the ongoing Palestine campaign. Of course it's all linked, but we must have a dedicated anti-war movement that encompasses Palestine and all the other countries affected. Hands off Venezuela. Free Palestine.
Oh and FIFA president Gianni Infantino, that FIFA peace prize madey-uppy but he's my bestie nonsense, no.
Infantino praised Trump's "exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world.” In his acceptance, Trump called the prize "truly one of the great honors of my life." Forbes, Dec 2025.
